34 thousand 5 hundred rupees cash recovered along with a bike and a mobile phone
Khagaria: On the instructions of District Police Captain Chandan Kumar Kushwaha, weapons and bullets are being recovered continuously during the action being taken against arms smugglers in the district. In this series, on Wednesday, Beldaur police station and Khagaria DIU jointly raided and arrested two arms suppliers along with 220 bullets and other items.
The arrested supplier has been identified as Divesh Kumar Sah alias Devesh, son of Rajpati Sah, resident of Pachaut of Beldaur police station area and Vanshraj Kumar alias Chhotu, son of Ashok Sah. The police conducted the above raid while checking vehicles on Jolhaniya bridge located on Beldaur-Pachaut road.
Giving information, Khagaria SP said that a continuous raid campaign is going on against smuggling and smugglers of arms and bullets. In this sequence, Beldaur Police and DIU team has taken the above action. He told that during interrogation, both the smugglers told that they purchase bullets from Tikarampur, Munger and provide them to smugglers and criminals of other districts including Khagaria district, Saharsa, Madhepura.
The smuggler also told that he had also provided bullets to the smuggler Pappu Patel arrested from Chakramania. SP said that Rs 34,500 in cash, two mobile phones and a bike have been seized from the smuggler. Continuous raids are being conducted on the basis of facts obtained during interrogation.
